That's a cool find Matt. In conjunction with a small sealed lead-acid battery, you could use that to back up a Defender alarm sounder.

Could be that the characteristics of your cheap (unregulated) 1A charger are just OK for Noka while the BlueSea does not fit because of fixed regulated current and/or voltage...

As per Brendan's link, you can get A4-80 (800MPa) which is broadly similar in strength to 8.8 high tensile if you want to go stainless, and these were what I used for some of the more 'cosmetic' fixin ... |
