It came out eventually. Will be on the phone to YRM on Tuesday.
The worst of the rot was almost impossible to see. Might be worth a check next time you are underneath yours.

| I think you will find as they are moulded sole that a traditional heel will not work. Don’t quote me on it, but a trad cobbler may look at those soles rather dismissively. |
