Yes I would agree with stainless will be fine but I would use some copper grease or anti seize just in case and to aid removal next time.

Standard bolts would probably be fine in that application ...

Maybe is not but seems to match the format, size, font etc of an Irish number plate suggesting the vehicle was imported to Ireland post 1987.

Nice series. The markings behind the rear number plate looks like an Irish number plate was fitted. Did it spend time in Ireland or was the rear tub replaced at some point?
