I’m doing the same but I don’t have factory alarm unit.

Can I just tap into the interior light, cable running up the side pillow?

I know I will need to fabricate a bracket to get the seat to stick out a bit when folded away as they ...

Check also contacts in starter. They are common fault on TD5.

Agree with all the above. Only thing I’ll add and it might be too late but we used a large hole punch with a hammer and a good piece of wood for the holes needed for all the bolts👍
