There's an O ring in there as well which is more for sealing the oil. The seal stops crap going into the sump, the O ring helps stop the oil coming out.

I personally wouldn't bother with a Sankey / Penman as whilst okay offroad they're pretty impractical for anything else.

| Never had anything need more than about 7t and that was to disintegrate an L322 wheel bearing. A bit of thin oil, particularly when it starts moving makes things a lot easier. |
