as subject say, my -97 130tdi ( 300k/km on the clock) have a quite bad chassi, some door rust, but bulkead is quite ok.

problem solved...new (actualy 2nd hand) turbo, new de cat downpipe, egr blanked, new injectors and timing checked and adjusted...!
Goes lite a recer and is nowdays an "non smoker"

Im replacing shot turbo and thougt was to chage to an decat pipe as well. I did try to get old out, and ended to cut it out with a grinder.

Also do you have excessive turbo play? If so it could be pumping oil straight into the inlet and exhaust which will make smoke
