Thanks guys, well that doesn't exist anymore and hasn't since I've had the truck. So guess previous owner cut the wire and left the rest that goes around the roof for some reason!

Thanks blackwolf and that's correct it is the same one.

So looks like the third wire from the controller needs a fused positive feed back to the battery going off your diagram.
