yep well worth doing try and get it as far up the bulkhead as you can as most of the engine noise comes through the bulkhead.

There isn't usually any insulation on the Bracket, in theory it doesn't need it.

You are right,  i do have something like that, its just caked in mud and hidden behind the filler tube.
So yes you do need additional brackets/bracing. |
