Id also be changing that drop arm ball joint. the rubber boot doesn't look intact any more!

Ive recently seen a mount that attaches via the spare wheel studs, looked pretty smart but can't remember where I've seen it now. Will try and find it for you.

If your ladder is bolted into the capping then I reckon the safari equip one would just about fit! This bolts below the capping, you would loose your rope tie down point though.

The BFGs have been brilliant for me until recently, they've become a little loose now, as they're starting the wear after 30k miles.

If you're mainly road biased id look at the cooper zeons in 26 ...
