Can anyone tell me what the factory FRONT Bump stop clearance is on the Defenders?
I believe it could around 90>100mm maybe??

Do u know if they are a captive nut as in if u remove the bolt that the nut doesn’t drop down into the inner guard?

I'm yet to remove but I assume it will be oily?
The section from where the breather hose intake is to the Turbo looks ok for its age. Its not clean but not clogged up either

I want to gain easier ...

I would tend to lean towards Turbo, if it’s very high mileage it probably is worth changing it anyway and will drive better anyway.

I’ve had a few people/mechanics suggest this..

Its loads more than mine at 50k miles and is very chuffy are you sure its not an injector seal

Unsure about injector seals as I believe they are still the original ones and the car has done 232,000 ...

One problem that also leads to oil consumption are worn copper seals of the injectors. Inspect them carefully or have them done immediately. Check the breather pipe (crankcase vent).
