No i didn't see if the cable had the same amount of movement as i changed the gear wheel from the old motor to the new one as they don't come with any gearing, that is extra

| Thanks Steve but i can't see that it is obstructed as it was a straight swap, old one out, new one in and yes, about the same amount of grease applied when all the gears were changed, it's just a twil ... |

The BMW is on twin Weber carbs, I'm assuming 40's...I don't know about any engine mods 🤔
It's not our car, my lad has the task of the rebuild 👍🏼
