Disco 2 electric window switch the same?
Hi,

The Electric window switch just drops the window but not back up again.

Looking at used on flea bay and found a disco2 switch. Looks identical to the Defender with same number.

Just would like to verify if anyone knows.
New are silly money.!

Thanks.

The electric window switch was used in the Freelander 1, Defender TD5 and Discovery TD5 are all the same.

There was a part number change around 2002/2003 and the later TD5 and TDCI/Pumas share the same switch part number. But, they are interchangeable.

It is possible that they may be slightly different colours too, early being grey and later being darker, but I cannot confirm that.

Are you sure it is the switch? Common fault is a broken wire in the door jam. Peter

Yes thanks, swapped switches over and it worked fine.

Ordered for £6.99 on ebay. Fingers crossed it works!
