2008 Defender 130 Puma 2.4 HCPU Alaska White

Engel fridge power socket query

Hi all, fitting auxiliary battery in the 130, I want to power the Engel fridge directly from a board in the rear, not the cigarette lighter.
No problem you think, just source a plug and wire it into the board, but my issue is I can only buy a +/-£50 power lead to chop the socket off..! It’s a 3 pin jobby and I can’t find it anywhere online, anyone any idea where I can get one? I want to keep the original for future use in other vehicles..

2013 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 USW Santorini Black

One way is to cut your current cable and fit plug and socket on to cut ends and then make up second cable that will fit onto engel section of your original cable and to your board. You will need 2+1 plug/sockets so depends on price for those. Andy

Hi, yes I’ve kind of figured that would be the best way realistically, I’ve spent ages trying to find the bloody things! All I’ve found is other people asking the same!
What connectors would be best you reckon?..

Thanks gat, I saw that but was worried that although the main picture looks like my plug, the subsequent images are different! I’ve messaged them to finf out, would be perfect if so..

There are some on Ali express at a third of the price so might be worth a gamble
