United Kingdom 2015 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Corris Grey
Completed wheel refurb on my Heritage 90.
I finally bit the bullet and got them done. I had to hunt around for a tyre shop with the right tackle to get them balanced because of the large size of the hub hole, and the sticky weights didn’t fit on properly so I had to have tap-on ones - some of the enormous lead lumps nearly made me cry!

The next job is to get the rusty side steps and mud flap holders done.

Before . . .

I made the mistake of rushing into getting the hubs done and I used gloss paint where satin would have looked better. Anyway, they’ll probably need redoing in seven years anyway!

And after . . .

Tightening up the nuts produced a few uncomfortable sounding cracks (in the coating?). £360 plus another £36 for balancing.

Re the colour, I gave the powder coaters the code for grassmere green which I believe is 1CD 2207, and the code for Atlantic green which I think is LRC726. Silly me forgot to ask them which one they used, so when I get her out into the daylight I’ll have a good look for match, and then ask them which one they used.

I have been using this on my white wolf 'style' wheels after each wash and am quite impressed how the wheels are looking after 14 months and a Scottish salty winter.

I’ve just got hold of some Scotm. Haven’t had time to apply it yet.

Looks great. Did you get a chance to check the colour code they used? Thanks!
