D300 fuel economy
Has anyone else found the D300 to be much better on diesel than the D250? Took delivery of the 110 D300 last week and itโ€™s easily returning 36-38mpg, to get that in the previous 110 D250 you had to consciously try very hard, it typically did 28-30.

l can't see how that could happen, but it's great if that's the case. Well, great if you've got a D300.

l can get high 30's from my 90 D250 on a run. With care l can get 40mpg

The mapping seems to keep the engine at a lower rev range

My wife managed to do the ๐Ÿ† ride with 45mpg. On average she does 40mpg with our D250. I might be a little bit faster on the German Autobahn and do 35mpg.

I have a 110 D300.
We aren't offered the D250 engine here in Japan so I can't compare but here is my fuel consumption.

I've posted in other threads about my numbers and how impressed the fuel economy is, considering the heavyweight spec that I have.

If I stick to the speed limit of 100kmph I can get 15km/l or 44mpg imperial.
