90 on a track, really?
I can’t remember if I shared this before. My 90 gets used for the odd Scatter Rally and the Rally Club’s Sprint Day at Curborough. MikeH501 came along one day and bought his 360 view camera. I thought some may enjoy this video, the chuckles at the end shows how much fun we had.

TOP FUN

Back in the late eighties I bought a V8 90 that I was told had been prepared for a race series in the Netherlands for 4x4s on track.

it had a 3.9 with Piper cams, Twin 40 Webbers and Janspeed 4-2-1 manifolds. Police RR suspension of course as there was no other upgrade. It had wooden blocks on the bump stops to stop it rolling too much on corners, took them off right away.

Pre internet days so never saw anything more about the racing.

About 10 years ago i took my 90 around the Nurbergring. It was a 200tdi with a 2" lift, M/T's and a roof rack full of camping gear. I gave the 90 as much right foot as i dared but it certainly wasn't the fastest lap they've seen Rolling with laughter
