Hi all i am sad to report that my 2009 owned since new Landrover 110 csw puma has been pinched off ky road in Shepherds Bush in London.

Wheel cover advertising my wife’s business is distinctive “Couture Collective”.

Reg is LC59 YEL. 132000 miles. Ashcroft auto conversion (they are awesome btw).

Sorry to hear that. Will be very hard to replace given 1 owner and I’m sure we’ll loved and maintained, I bet the insurance won’t pay out adequately either. Really sorry to hear it.

yep, I had just replaced the side steps, rear ladder as the powder coat on each was starting to fail and then done about half of my annual undercoat with waxoyl top up focusing on the bits that get eroded. Chassis was in amazing condition, rear cross member waxoyl and repainted annually.

So yes one owner and well-loved big shame.

However in its life it:

- took my wife to hospital when it was 1 month old and came back with her and our youngest
- took our pet pig Snout for emergency surgery to Royal Vet College in Harpenden
- took our youngest to hospital as there were no ambualnces during lock down when she developed severe pneumonia, she was ICU for a couple of weeks but made it home in the Landy of course
- countless holidays both tented and not to Ireland to see the family and South of France and Euro Disney
- took my neighbour Albert to his funeral as he wished - that was an honour
- ferried sheep goats and pigs to inner city school visits (my wife's projects)
- took pigs to on set filming
- carried countless bales of hay, pavers, sand, cement, wood, stuff on its roof (so no it wasn't a Chelsea tractor)

It was a bloody brilliant car and the only time it let us down - a bust turbo hose - we repaired it with an inner tuber, duct tape and cable ties and it made it home just fine, from Mont Ventoux....

THe planned trip around the coast of France and then the northern Med just isn't going to happen. Snowy

Any news? If nothing, have you got it out on all SM? Story like that (Wife, kids, pigs and Albert) would spread like wildfire. Try contacting local BBC News or Channel 5 etc. They all do ‘human’ interest stories at the end of their shows. Good luck. What utter utter c***s. And that word doesn’t include the letters O,C and K…. Whistle Monsieur Le Grenadier

I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list.....

^^^^^^^^^^
Add a pedal lock to your armoury.

PS .I’m assuming you have the lockable boss to replace the steering wheel once it’s removed.

lt's a shame most owners don't respond to this question. lt would be really useful to build up a picture of which security products are effective, and which aren't.

From being a member of Landywatch, usually no answer means no additional security fitted. Sad BORG - Bucks & Oxon 4x4 Response Group

It's a fair point but from experience (my 110 defender was stolen in 2017) it's a tricky question to answer immediately after the vehicle's been pinched.
You don't want to be telling the thieves about any additional security they hadn't yet discovered (while they've parked it up somewhere waiting to see if the tracker's activated).
They also follow these sites.

At the time, you've also got a lot on your plate dealing with the cops, insurance, forums, social media, work, normal life etc etc so after the first 'my landy's been stolen' post there can be a bit of time and clutter in the thread since the question's asked and so it gets missed.
