2008 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 DCPU Zambezi Silver

[For Sale] low mileage 2008 Defender Double Cab County

2008/08 2.4 DCPU county spec
3 owners, 89,000 miles with lots of history, much money spend on recent years on mechanics. Cosmetically, it's well used - plenty of dents and scratches. Underneath, its never been welded, has been professionally treated, but isn't perfect. Will be sold with alloys, wolf replicas, Ifor Williams top and the standard vinyl top.
MOT in September at 87,000 miles.
Lots spent during my ownership (i got it November 2019 at about 79,000 miles)

May/June 22 - New starter motor, service
Oct 20 - underbody treatment using Dinitrol products at Chris at CC Automotive.
June 20 - at around 82,000 miles, LOF road spec clutch, new output shaft, LOF power spec disks and pads, new callipers all round, various suspension bushes, prop shaft UJ, big service

Drives nicely. It looks great from 10m away but isnt perfect cosmetically - plenty of dents, scratches, little bits of rust. Bulkhead and rear crossmember look fine. Chassis is a bit flaky and does need going over with a wire brush and a repaint, but it's not been welded. It's not been modified or tarted up for sale, it is what it is! Interior is fine (JVC DAB stereo), but front seat foam pretty warn. It has heated seats and AC, but AC has never worked in my ownership as the condenser needs replacing. I prefer to open the windows so haven't done it.

I think it is pretty good value at £16,995 given what else is available currently.

Viewing in Monmouth, South Wales. It is currently SORN and not being used. I'll advertise it here for a week before trying Ebay!

Interesting that it has AC if it's County spec. When my County spec DC was built in 07 AC was not included. I wonder if it was a factory-fitted option?

In 07 County spec got you carpets and electric front windows and not much else.

I’d be extremely interested, the timing is just completely wrong. Apparently…..houses are more important than Defenders!

It has factory fit heated screen, heated seats and aircon.

Forgot to say it has a swing away spare carrier, NAS step, and a brand new front bumper as the old one wasn't looking great.

I think it's fairly priced - I've had one enquiry from someone who seemed keen but didn't turn up to view.

Are you sure it is not an XS with that spec? I think there was a "cold pack" option which included the heated seats and screen, but I didn't think it had the A/C.

I think it is a very fair price and if I was in the market for one I would definitely be interested (sadly for you I already have one). If you're not in a rush to sell, I am sure that a buyer will come along in due course.

No, it is a county. I have a feeling XS has different seats and traction control too?

It does need to go, I need the space. It’s been SORN since Christmas. I’ll put it on eBay later with a 99p start and low reserve and will see what happens!!

You're right, an XS would have had ABS (not sure about TC in 08 ) and half leather seats.
