What does this do?
Hi,

I need your help identifying this part. I found it when I was rooting around behind the dash of my 2013 110 and found this, it appears to be wired into the factory loom near where the radio and subwoofer loom merge, if that makes sense.

The slim oblong box appears to be an arial of some sort and the larger box has a small red flashing light.

Any thoughts would be appreciated, cheers

I did wonder that, did LR ever offer one as original equipment?

Maybe I’ll try unplugging it and see if Land Rover Special Forces descend on me🤣

Virtually identical to the fleet tracking device which was fitted to mine while it was a demonstrator vehicle. Also wired into the radio loom. The long thin component was the antenna, judged by the connector, and was stuck on the top of instrument pack.

Yep, that was where the antenna was.

Excellent, thank you all for your help, I’ll get it pulled out and binned at the next opportunity
