Pic Negre
I'll be in the Pyrenees this year on tour and I'd like to do a few trails while I'm there. The Smugglers Route is well documented but Pic Negre appears to many possible routes. Has anyone done this recently? Which route did you take? Any hints and tips greatly received.

Have a look on Wikiloc, there's plenty of routes to choose from.
I was looking for some first hand recommendations.

We did it in a few years ago. Came up from the south west and crossed the border just before the junction that goes up to the mountain. Then down past the adventure park place.

Made it 👌 went up on the Andorra side, followed some of my marked out tracks and came out just on the French side of the border. The bottom of the actual track had a slightly dodgy security person collecting money to go up while a couple of construction workers were with him while they were starting to build what looked like the beginnings of a little hut by the barrier for someone to sit in and collect money. We asked all the other people we saw up the top of they had to pay too and they indeed did. So I think they’re beginning to take advantage of all the tourists visiting which is a shame.

If there's a lot of people using the tracks, I don't mind paying if the money goes back into track repairs.

Do you have a GPX of the route you used?

Steve - Ill look into it, not sure if my gamin records exactly where ive been

Retro - yes down by the barrier with a high vis and a security car with a flashing light on top Laughing The two lads building looked like they were putting a small foundation in for a little ticket box
