My D250 MY23.5 delivered in October 2022 seems to have a different plastic 90degree bend connector.
Slightly more angle (>90) on the plastic 90degree bend on the left of the images. (It also looks like a vertical feeder pipe has been moved/changed from plastic 90bend too when comparing to the version in Retroanaconda's pics at 10 o'clock) Click image to enlarge |

On my Defender (Year of manufacture 6/2021 MY22) there is enough space between the radiator hose and the air intake. See photo.

Just goes to show you still need to carry some baler twine even in the latest iteration of the Defender! No amount of over the air software updates would sort that out. Defender 90XS SW

Just realised that I have this same issue. The hose is rubbing against the filter and it's showing signs of damage. Did LR get this replaced and fixed? If it's been removed from the service bulletin how critical is this? Last thing I want is to spend 1/2 a day drinking coffee at LR Service.... Mine hasn't been done yet, there was a two month wait for a courtesy car and it was due to be done next week.
Then, l asked them to also look at the door outer plastic trim which has warped a little on the passenger door. And also apparently my missing USB ports are now in stock. Can they do that as well? That will mean we need it for two days they said, and l've gone to the back of the queue so it's now being done at the end of April. |

It’s being done on the 31st of this month. That’s the first date I could get a courtesy car. In the meantime I’ve added a bit of plastic to stop it rubbing through:

Here’s what my 20 hours old D250 has under the bonnet to fix this

Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed! |

Mine has started chafing the outside of the hose so have put a couple stainless hose clips round to protect it from the sharp plastic edge.

The updated part is now available, it's a warranty issue but l ended up buying the part myself

So you buy a brand new Defender, from a UK dealer, then you have to buy parts from them to properly fix engineering defects, while it's still in warranty? In which parallel universe is this a correct and proper course of action? |

Oh l am sure the dealership would have done it, but the vehicle has already been in once for the fault and they only replaced the hose.
When l got the vehicle back it had scratches on the rear panel that looked like they were done by an automatic car wash. It's less hassle for me to just buy the part and fit it myself. l'll toss off an email to Land Rover to see if l can get some money back for the part, but l won't hold my breath. |
