Fox damper rear install
Just installed a fox damper on the rear of my 110. At the bottom / axle end the washer is very close to the cup on the axle. I’m concerned that there could be some rubbing here. I’d be interested to know of other people’s experience here.

You can just take a hammer and cold chisel to the cups and remove them.

Its common to do so with longer travel set ups.

What you see now on level ground will be different at full articulation. The rear axle doesn't just drop straight down, it travels forward through an arc. This in turn would put pressure on the cap and washer if they come in contact with each other and may well bend one or the other.

Because of this arc, please ensure that the top nut is not fully tight. With the bottom free to hang, tighten the top and swing the damper until it becomes tight but not so much that it wont move, then attach the lower shock into the mount.

Failure to do this has caused the heads to snap off followed my the posts saying such and such brand in crap when the actual reason is that the top nut has been done up to the point it cant rotate.

Hope this helps
