United Kingdom 2015 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 SW Keswick Green
[For Sale] 1953 Series 1 80in for sale or p/x nice RRC
1953 Series 1 80in. Completely rebuilt as a project 4 years ago and only used for occasional classic car shows since. All numbers matching and from a very dry climate hence the chassis and bulkhead are excellent.
Everything has been rebuilt / restored with thousands spent on NOS parts from Dunsfold, Blanchards and other Series One suppliers.
The all original body was cleaned and repaired where needed and put back on the vehicle to preserve the lovely patina. Note, that much of the paint has been bleached off due to being in a semi desert area, the rest is worn down to the bare aluminium from a lifetime of work on a farm. It was a one family owned vehicle, passing down from the original owner to his Nephew.
It has a working rear PTO and a rare chaff guard fitted.
The only reason for sale is that it does not get used enough and languishes in a garage most of the year.
I have researched prices of Series Ones for sale and many are in the £30 to £45K plus and many not as original as this one.
I am asking £25,500 and would consider a very nice (no bodged wrecks please) 2 or 4 door Range Rover Classic in exchange, cash either way.

I guess each to their own. Patina is such a hateful word and IMO it makes the vehicle look dreadful.

Its called history, nothing worse than something with an overly shiny & new "restoration" IMO
