SIDE PANEL TO CAPPING FOAM SEAL – LR DEFENDER 110 CSW

Hi,

i'm getting ready to replace the capping piece on my 110 station wagon. Never mind that the rear pannels are blanked - I do have the rear small windows. Unless I'm mistaken I think the original owner overglued the window frame with the pannels?? (however i'm crossing fingers these are OEM)

as I need to replace the rear cappings, I did a final check on lrworkshop to make sure I don't extend the repair unnecessarily. In the 110 rear diagram i note that there is the item number 11 (AML710100 & AML710110). When I watch on youtube the capping replacement video's I've never noticed people to use these foams as well .. could someone please confirm if these foams are sitting under the panel and should be replaced as well along the way to make sure no future water penetration can happen?

The YRM (https://yrmit.co.uk/product/side-panel-to-capping-foam-seal-lr-defender-110-csw/) version was listed on lrparts.net as well as the replacement unit ...
