Heater Matrix

With the winter looming (and me planning a trip north)

I was wondering if an uprated heater unit might increase the heat output.

Was thinking of something like this :

Anyone ever try anything like this on a TD5 ?

Hi, did you buy one of these heaters or did you make some other modification to improve your heater?

Binned that idea as I thought the coolant just wasn't getting warm enough quick enough to have much heat anyway.

I bit the bullet and bought an Eberspacher heater, well pleased with it.

Never had a problem with my TD5 90 heater.

With a good thermostat, and lines and matix back flushed, its perfect, very hot.

BUT the storm engine take a while to warm up, but thats what heated seats are for!
