Hi all,
i would like to get an activity key for my 23MY HSE 110. Now apparently its not just a case of buying the watch and having it programmed. I apparently also need a module or something. The following has been given to me: LR170911 MODULE - PASSIVE LR164065 REMOTE CTRL SYS- I have watched PowerfulUk (Simon)'s youtube and the LR170911 was not mentioned. Does anyone know if this is correct and that I do need that module? Thank you. Pretty sure you only need the module for the 2020 models. With newer ones just a case of coding the activity watch like a spare key.

Been through this with Landrover UK. They are adamant that as I already have 2 keys the Security Module on my MY22 will be locked down so tight that not even Pathfinder will be able to add the third key. Buying a new module is the only way. This is despite the module having room for 3 keys - it leaves the factory locked unless they only gave you 1 key.
Totally at odds with what it says in their online Accessory brochure though. I threatened them with Trading Standards but didn't get very far! If you Google the upgrade services available from a certain third party they offer the Activity Key for £500 unless your car came with 2 keys when it will be £700. As far as I know the module is around £180 so that tallies. I've watched the PowerfulUK video which suggests you can add the 3rd key. A previous video they had for adding the Activity Key involved them fitting a new KVM - it looks like the same vehicle, so I'm not convinced they did it on a factory spec KVM. I sincerely hope I'm wrong but no one has yet been able to confirm that they have successfully added a 3rd key to a car delivered with 2 keys with the origonal KVM fitted. I have found out that since I have not received my second key yet the security module has not been locked yet so they will be able to program the Activity key and second/spare key at the same time. My car is going into the dealer this week and I've asked them to see if my KVM is locked or not. I have 2 keys.

Sorry for delay in responding.
My car went into dealers. At collection time, I askled the question, only to be told, the head technitian thinks it should be just a case of coding a new key.
