A removable steering wheel has the benefit of not only providing extra security, but also adding the ability to start the drive with a warm wheel.

I've a 606 in mine, but being a cast iron block it takes ages to warm up. I'm planning on fitting a diesel air heater to it in the new year. They're not a convenient as a car for sure, but once warm are way better! Nice pair of 110's.

I rather think your are "alluding" not "eluding"! ![]() You wouldn't believe how many of my students don't know the difference between the two. You're right, life with a defender is a throwback to the good old days of motoring when gloves, scarves, and common sense were mandatory! |

Oh that made me chuckle ![]() I have seen plenty of other folks in hats, gloves and scarves driving modern vehicles with all the trimmings. Mind you they still drive off with 1/4 ton of snow on the roof and looking through port holes of fogged up glass... ![]() |
