Reversing issue???
I have a 2007 TDCi 90 ( ABS & Traction Control) - 18" wheels & lowered 1" ( this is NOT part of the problem IMHO).

Clutch was changed using a Clutchfix HD1 Organic drive plate/cluthfix cover/release bearing , new Control valve & Clutch slave cylinder with adapter.

Prior to this and after I am experiencing the following problem.
Sometimes not always after a run and I go into reverse the rear of the vehicle makes a horrible clunking sound , the vehicle feels like it is "crabbing" from left to right/right to left as though something is winding up.
It doesn't feel like Diff-lock is engaged. The light works ok.
I am getting under the vehicle on Monday when I take it to my mate ( who is my MOT tester) - he is very experienced with L-R but I am just trying to pre-empt where or what to look for.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Are the diffs standard?

Have you had vehicle from new?

Take the rear halfshafts out and see if it does the same Or the rear driveshaft.
You have to put it in Difflock to drive then. If it drives without difflock engaged it is the transferbox.

Edit: 1 halfshaft should be enough with standard diffs. Roel

Try slackening off the handbrake adjuster a little and see if it helps

Not had the vehicle from new and l believe diffs are standard.
Interesting thought about hand brake.

I assume in reverse l might see or feel the hand brake lever juddering? May your life be like toilet paper ; long & useful.

No, all hell can be breaking loose in the drum and you are still unlikely to feel it through the lever
