DT engine solutions do an auto conversion, I’ve been looking at it as an option so my wife can drive our TD5 but i know he’s done a few Puma’s as well.

Just looked at their website, Doesn't show a lot.

WOW. Great response from DT Engine Solutions. Emailed them, had a response within 10 mins. Sadly they don't offer the Lexus V8 conversion currently. Not that I could of afforded it. But we can dream. 110 D250 SE HT

Keen to see which direction you go, and how it works out. I've been toying with the idea of Auto conversion for a while. My GF can't drive Manual, and don't really want an extra vehicle on the drive for her to drive. Other option is a Grenadier....
My previous thought was the Ashcroft just because it's tried and tested. Keep up updated  Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's) |

In a perfect world, I'll sell my 110 before I need to do the conversion.
But looking at all the options so far, Ashcroft is a 4 speed box. Is that not old tech? The JE is a 6 speed box but a tad more expensive. I just have it in my head that the 4 sp would be clunky and not smooth to drive. If you search you'll find several threads on Puma Auto conversions. I think the 6-sp JE Eng is far better suited to the Puma. Most modern autos are 8-sp, so makes the JE look old let alone 4-sp.
Wallis Defenders are working on fitting a 10-sp auto to a 5.0 Coyote V8. You might as well go all the way!!  James

I did look but nothing came up for me. Perhaps a bit more searching needed.
Aas for the Coyote V8, Ii'd love another V8 But have a feeling it will be well beyond my pension.  DT engine solutions want £24K for a low mileage take out LS3 with 6 sp auto or £33K for a new crate motor and box. 110 D250 SE HT

Apparently Ashcroft have a demo vehicle. They say it locks into top gear better around 50 mph. Is it revised compushift or something?
