Think the VAT is killing it for most people. £31k is a fiar price but b the time you add the vat it is pricing it way above others on the market

I have factored in a margin, but to get to the £31K you suggest makes the value of the vehicle £25K + VAT. Which is on the low side, I need more than that out of it 110 D250 SE HT

This now needs to go. But I'm struggling to understand why it's not selling.
I know the market is a little soft this time of year but I've priced it to sell, there is a margin to haggle on the price, like there is with every car purchase. So what am I doing wrong? Wrong price Wrong time of year Wrong colour To many add ons Almost every add on is removable and would leave no trace, oly the rear work/reverse lights would leave holes. i think time of year and the fact that it falls foul of the caz charges in most major cities will hurt it.
as councils rush to impose the low air tax scam and other traffic restriction measures it does affect folk buying cars. |

I've read a few posts about Defenders not selling at present. I think its time of year, inflation/interest rate increases etc etc slowing the market.
I personally think you're asking towards te top end value wise. I've seen a few recently a lot more what I would call reasonable money. But depends how quick a sale you want. Have you tried WeBuyAnyCar and alike you might be surprised what they offer. I know the market goes soft for 3-4 months this time of year.
I've put an asking price and I have a bottom line price that I can negotiate down to if needed, but I can't negotiate up. As for time, it's been for sale on and off for 12 months now. Perhaps I should just ask for offers, but then that just encourages people to offer fluffy spangles, 1/2 eaten bars of chocolate etc. LOL Would be interesting to see what people offered though. I have done WBAC but they are a stupid price, and the same money as LR were offering as a part exchange. And they were offering £19200 + VAT.
