Is the solenoid a silver tin pot type or a rectangular plastic contractor pack?

Interesting in that normally an albright has a stud for power in and 3 bolts for f1, f2 and a. Yours has 4 bolts.
Check terminals first if I was you. When solenoid is activated one way it will join a and f1, when switch other way itmwill join a and fw2. You can run 12v to centre and switch to earth or switch to live on low current side. Cheers James 110 XS Utility 130 Puma Station wagon/camper (in the making) 90 Puma Hardtop |

Thanks jst that's really helpful. The top right post on my solenoid is a slighty different shade of colour so assume that is D which matches your diagram.
