Rear Drawers - The definitive list
Taking inspiration from the definitive pop-tops list thread, I thought I'd see if one for rear storage drawers might be handy. I've spent ages Googling so might as well write it down somewhere.

I still think the Paranoid drawer was the best engineered drawer we've seen, just a shame the company wasn't run to the same standard as the product... Anyway.

Here's the ones I know of, I don't own any (yet) so I can't speak to the quality of any of them. Please add any others you know of. Comment on what any of them are like to live with would be well received.

Mobile Storage Systems (aka Trek Overland) are probably the most well known in the UK, do a range of sizes to suit most situation. https://www.mobilestoragesystems.net/colle...ea-drawers

LRS are selling a drawer and associated storeage system. It looks a lot like the stuff previously made and “sold” by the now dead Paranoid Engineering. If it is, that is good news because Paranoid’s actual products looked excellent even if their business practise left a lot to be desired. I’d be very interested if it’s the same product from a reputable seller.

There’s no picture of the drawer, but it can be seen in the back of the cover car on the current issue of LRO 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Hands down "The Best"... Thumbs Up

1/4 the weight of the MSS drawers. 99% plastic. No moving parts (latch not included). Super simple and strong. Enclosed drawer box, so if something leaks it won't seep to other parts of the LR. Thumbs Up

I believe Miffy has a Mk1 drawer, ATB seem to have updated the latch since making mine.

I would say the opposite actually.

I have a MSS drawer in my 90 yes it’s heavy but it is well made, it does rattle a little when off road but it carries all my heavy kit and the runners make it very easy to open and close.

I have just fitted a animal transit boxes drawer in my Isuzu pickup and whilst it is nice and light and easy to fit, I wouldn’t be able to load it with nearly half of my heavy kit or recovery gear, as the lack of runners would make opening difficult and also risk damage if drawer fully extended I imagine. I am glad I picked it up 2nd hand and didn’t pay full rrp for it. It is good but I think ok if loading it with light weight stuff like cooking stuff etc. so horses for courses
