Done - sold for the exact amount I paid for it. Now comes the shopping around for a replacement.

I'm guessing they'll be selling it for £65k+.

2015 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 Adventure Phoenix Orange
^^well it will be interesting to follow these 2 in a couple of months. I think prices are moving down quite a bit (and so they should!). And the same is true for the classic.

Yes l've been offered a brand new fully configurable Defender 90 at list price for delivery in October, so who in their right mind is going to pay thousands over list for a used one?

Hoping to get some insight here! Dealer has offered me a decent trade in price, it’s over list price and with the discount I got initially, I’m in for a profit. But unfortunately I suffer from fomo, and it’s playing playing havoc with me. There is a lot to be said for a hassle free, drive in drive out sale, without Joe Public at your house. And I feel like it’s helping the dealer and keeping everyone in business. But with the list prices of new ones higher than even and less kit being included, I think I’m in a strong position as my defender is the last of the MY22. WBAC is offering less than the dealer. Would appreciate any input either way.

I don’t see the point in selling yours just to get a newer one, but with less spec.. 2008 2.4 110 Utility XS.

I hear the market has been softening for a couple of months now. Lots of people have been taking advantage of the overs and selling. But that's flooded the market with vehicles. So lots of supply.
You might see second hand dealers still making a little over rrp, but I don't know if as a private seller you should be expecting to make your money back after a year/ a few 1000 miles..

**edit: If you've already had a good offer - GREAT. But just be aware it might not be the seller's market it was 9 months ago**

Agree. Plenty of stock on the website at the moment. Its more of a buyers market.

Deal done, got 10% over what I paid, and 3% off list on my new one. Possibly could have got more privately selling it but not comfortable dealing with that sort of transaction value.

Sold.

After thirteen years of LR ownership (Evoques, RR Sports, a Velar and the Defender) I'm now sitting in a Porsche Macan.

I didn't realise you could drive a car without constant creaks and rattles... I might find it hard to return to the brand. Especially now LR have adopted the "Oops, we forgot to include the nav screen. Never mind, lets just stick it on the dash" approach to design as is seen in the newest Defenders and the new Range Rover.

But at least you’re not bitter about your LR owning experience 😊

I guess I am slightly bitter. I just accepted the rattles and creaks assuming that all cars must do it.

This 23MY 110 XS is far superior in terms of quality over my 21MY 90, the 90 had a few creaks but the 110 feels rock sold not a creak to be heard. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue
