They even wave in Germany ... except for the "soccer moms" Oh yes - and flat hand wave - let's keep it clear and simple... like our Landys p.s. wheel spacers allowing tighter steering do make a hell of a difference though |

Don't think it is Tamar Blue, as this is a flat deep non metallic blue. Looks like either Cairns Blue, or it's replacement Buckingham Blue.Check out the Land Rover site for vehicle colours. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

as the forum colour geek i will confirm that is definately the now obsolete cairns blue.
tamar blue is a non metalic and buckingham blue is a dark blue - darker than oslo blue (as found on td5 models) land rovers are very marmite cars to have - if you can get an extended drive - maybe over a weekend - then you will know whether to love or hate them |

Cheers Guys. I'm taking another test ride tomorrow then going to ask for an over weekend test ride. Mainly because I've got some mud rails from a mate so I'm going to see if they make a difference. Just better remember to remove them before sending it back.

they do and they are worth it. the only downside i have found is looking sidewards out of the drivers door window - i have to dip my head a bit. otherwise i would'nt be without them - oh - i'm 6'2" BM52 |

my insurance going from an M1 to N1 didnt change the premium. both vehicles were the same (110 XS Utility pack) around £400. (NFU)
doesnt an N1 need a Class VII? cert? not that that will make much odds anyway. i will be sticking with the 2.4, have enough problems with other vehicles using DPFs to remain a little sceptical for now. Cheers James 110 XS Utility 130 Puma Station wagon/camper (in the making) 90 Puma Hardtop |

After much searching I've finally got a good insurance quote with More than Business.
£430 a year for a MY2012 doing 20,000 miles a year. 3 drivers, 1 non fault accident. On line they quoted £1100, phoned them up and they ran it through and it came out a shed load cheaper. Some final questions before I head to the stealer next week to do the deal - just trying to save myself some beer tokens Looking at the following options; - Rear Tow Bar + Electrics. Nothing fancy just basic ball + electrics. - Dog/Cargo Barrier - Floor Mats (blooming expensive) Are these best added at the dealer or can they be found cheaper/better else where. Would look for as close to geniune LR parts as I can get. What should I get with the vehicle, some people have mentioned a LR experience half day (Dad's christmas present sorted!) and 3 years LR Assist. Are these standard or do you have to ask/push for them? OK, final question searched for this but didn't find. Does adding Waxoyl or similar present any probs with regards to warranty? |

Tow bar...essential
Dog guard...worth having and also annoying. Floor mats...The rubber versions are essential to keep the musty smell rising from the damp carpet Waxoyl...good question, I very much doubt it ! |

Oh I plan to. Looking for at least 10% off list. I'm being nice, usually I look for 10% of the ex vat price, this time i'll let him use the vat price to try and convince me I'm saving more than I am. |

Dixon Bate tow bar and loom cheaper from an independent (Just plugs straight into spare socket!) It's worth giving the bracket a lick of POR-15 or similar before you fit it as it will rust quite quickly...
Mats you WILL get free as part of the haggle, maybe even the dog guard etc Undersealing your car does not affect your warranty. LR assist comes as standard, and just ask for the offroad day! Good luck |

Lots of tow bars available 2nd hand, just have a look at ebay, or watch this forum Search on LR006310 - that's normally the lowest-cost one. You need the electrics as well (they don't normally come with the bracket) Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's) |
