1989 Defender 90 2.5 TD SW Chawton White

D90 Sitting low in front? Wrong or worn out springs

Hey friends. So I am in the process of ordering some wheels tires and suspension for my 1989 Defender 90. One characteristic I have observed is mine seems to sit lower in the front - or higher in the rear - than others I see. I have measured the fender to the top of the tire and the front is definitely not equal to the rear. It appears to be roughly .75" different.

My question is could the springs be wrong on this car? I would like to maintain a stock height so I was thinking of Alive's Eibach comfort with Fox 2.0.

It’s quite normal for the rear to sit higher - after all there has to be capacity to carry weight in the rear. Hard tops are even higher at the back.

Cheap options are either 10mm spring spacers at the front or four bags of gravel in the back at £3 a bag at B and Q…..

The shipping from B&Q might add considerably to the cost
