Memory Map v. RouteBuddy
Does anyone have any experience of using both of these pieces of mapping software?

Memory Map does an iOS version but no version for OSX, Route Buddy seems to work across all platforms including MSDOS . Which though is the best performer / best application?

Route Buddy suits me better purely from an interoperability stand point however Memory Map seems far more used.

If anyone has any other experience of this type of software please feel free to contribute.

I am looking for something that will run on all of the main OS platforms and is quick........

Background information on RouteBuddy Map software
Hi,


RouteBuddy has been built as multi-platform software and uniquely offers support for many features,
including a wide range of GPS device support and layered maps; For example you can load
Ordnance Survey Topo Maps 'and' RB TomTom Maps into RouteBuddy, and flip between them.

More of use to off-road Landy owners though is the ability to flip between the additional Satellite
Map layer from Bing to Ordnance Survey maps (and Road Maps) making this the easiest way of
deciding on a cross-country route, or analysing a past one. Our map rendering from cache is
extremely fast and unparalleled, as is the ability to mix maps (say OS 25K and 50K) on the same
screen.


RouteBuddy is less well known than MM, as it is a younger company, although we are a British company.
We also do build-in many unique features over other software, and offer the most modern map software
currently available worldwide.


We're based just outside Guildford in Surrey, and I use a Landy to go fording with my young family, so
we do have an appreciation of your needs.

Just checked out your site. Good product! I think I'll buy it.

Being an "everything Apple" user it seems by far the best solution for me.

To be honest, I was pretty sold at "... We are a British company..."

Keep up the good work - I look forward to you becomming the dominant platform Thumbs Up One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS
