Hello all,

Land Rover replaced the turbo and intercooler for the previous owner 3 years and 30.000 kms ago. Last week i recognized a louder turbo sound and first thought was that it has to be a split turbo hose. But after a little search i found this (see pictures).

Air filter looks like brand new and even the inlet hose from filter to turbo is clean. No i´m a bit afraid of replacing the turbo again without any idea what has happend.

Did somebody heard about those problems before?

Checked everything... cant find anything specific:-(

Iam going to replace both oil feed pipe and return line to make sure, that this was not the problem. Looks like the feed line will tell me again how wonderful a 2.2l engine is to work on.

I found out that there is no gasket between turbo and exhaust manifold. The new garrett turbo comes with a gasket. Any ideas what to do? Replace the turbo without, or should i use the gasket (which is the better idea, i guess).

Thanks and a good weekend to all.
