Would there be a lot of leverage on the fixing point with that length of extension? Would a longer fixing plate be worth doing?

Posts: 561 | The winch bumper is 5mm and at the point of my fixing plate there in extra strengthening build in to the bumper as standard with large chassis plates , so I felt fixing the plate like I have with 16mm Bolts should be fine as my boat is on a very good trailer and I’m only moving the boat 20 yards ish so all good | ||

Posts: 561 | It’s long so it keeps the front of the boat further away from the front of the defender so I’ve got room to get between the defender and the bow ( front ) of the boat so I’m not putting the defender in the water if you get me | ||

I think we will just leave that for the weirdos on the Underground in London…..

Was on the Roseland a couple of weeks back. Someone down there has an original Camel Trophy rib which was back in the sea ready for the summer.

I won't be towing or pushing my present boat with it though! Peter
