20 years and 77k miles.

Done.

Why did they put the nuts in such a difficult place?

Was not as easy as I hoped it would have been, but then what is.

Hopefully got the springs the right way up, and at the right sides.

Also sorted out the a frame joint.

Look at all the crap that fell on to the floor

Have you also done the fronts? 🤣

I do not think there is a specific orientation of the spring, although for progressive springs, Landrover used to orient them with the softer part towards the chassis. But seen aftermarket ones, with softer side towards the axle.

Swapping left to right is not a good idea as they may have different lengths. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

Not done the fronts yet. Although that looks like a ball ache or a task.

Been out for a trip to heybridge basin and very pleased with the ride, or maybe the placebo effect
