Should you be as idiotic as I:
Leave the car key in the car, and lock the car with the remote app. The car locks, but the remote app times out and still says 'unlocked'. 1. Try to unlock the car by trying to 'lock' the car again, as the app still thinks the car is unlocked- to no avail. 2. Try 'beep & flash' to try and force the app and car to be in sync. The car does beep and flash but the remote app times out. 3. Uninstall and reinstall the app, to no avail 4. Activate climate remote start. The app times out again but the engine does start and climate is on. 5. After the 30 minutes is up, the app and car is now back in sync and the app says the car is correctly locked. Hey presto, I can now unlock my car using the app! I'm not going to bother troubleshooting... could be network, could be bad code, could be the app, could be anything under the sun. 22MY Defender 110 D300 S in Pangea Green and Contrast White Roof IG defender_japan "Hulk san" |

There are 2 versions of the Land Rover Remote App on iOS. The newer one has less functionality on some models but for the Defender it doesn't make any difference which one you use. I find that the newer version will lose sync quite often. If that happens I open up the old app and it will normally sync straight away and I can do what I need to do. Thanks graemesmith1960, might give that a shot next time. I’m currently using the newer iOS app.
Have to say this is the first time I’ve had issues. Have done lock and unlock multiple times and climate start without issues. 22MY Defender 110 D300 S in Pangea Green and Contrast White Roof IG defender_japan "Hulk san" |
