I was going to suggest a split pipe, leaking joint, manifold or similar but you've probably sussed the probable cause. Steve.
Ineos Grenadier Trialmaster but owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades. Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW.. Now long gone. depending on the width, you could possibly put a solid tube in the middle and use jubilee clips to repair it ?

Yes it was the repaired split pipe MOG
![]() The pipe is very short with a kink in it Steve so difficult to repair. I'll see if anyone has one off a scrappy on a SAAB forum and failing that dig out the dosh! - my wife has gone whistling away in it anyway, shouldn't do any harm until I fix it properly...another one of my not so good temporary fixes trying to save money ![]() |
