Registering lhd discovery 2 in France

Hi chaps-

Sorry if this has been asked before , I purchased a vehicle in France which is on uk registration and I have the v5 , I wish to register it in France. I don’t personally live in France but I have a friend who does . What sort of costs are involved please , it’s a 2002 discovery 2 NAS spec factory lhd 4.6 Thor factory lhd. I may put it for sale if I cannot register it
Any advice much appreciated
