Has anybody fitted one of these to an A/C fitted model and would care to comment how well they fit, please? All of the pictures I've found have been of non-A/C vehicles.
Pictures of one fitted would be good  Darren

The deafening silence suggests that nobody has. However, I've now spoken to Exmoor, who assure me it will fit, so I've ordered one. Will report back when it arrives... Darren

I can understand LRA's requirement because TD5s were notoriously inadequate when it came to heating, but Leonski I have the same vehicle as you (allbeit a year older) and my heating in the Winter months has performed perfectly well? Puzzling?? If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

I've ordered some seats too, which are due to arrive at the end of next week, and I think the rad muff will come with them. I ordered a radiator cover for mine yesterday because the temperature gauge stayed on a 1/4 most of the time last winter. It would only rise higher if i abused it so i thought i would give it a go. The shop said it fits with straps because i didn't want any drilling, either way i'll make it fit. 130 crew cab

If you cover the front grill, won't the viscous fan just work harder as it will stay warmer?
I tried covering part of the radiator last year, the heat did come through sooner, but the fan just kept running on full - I got tired of the noise. Just going to take fan off this year when it gets cold and try that. Steve  Defender 90 TD5 Station Wagon

To be honest, I've found the heater to be perfectly adequate once it's warmed up. However, my day-to-day driving includes lots of short journeys, so anything to help it warm up quicker will be welcome.

There used to be such things as different rated thermostats for different climates - don't know if that's still the case, or how easy it is to swap one?
You'd have thought if it was working correctly then it should maintain temperature. Having said that, I did notice last winter my gauge (& heater output) would drop when going down hills, or on tickover. But normal driving quickly restored normal temp. |
