Have you noticed the extra Wide wheel arches seem to have a 2" flat near the body to accomadate 35s.

Check out the SA video for more detail .

England 2002 Defender 90 Td5 HT Epsom Green
It makes perfect sense.

Bigger tyres are what the Americans and Australians want without cutting into the body work.

Those that use their vehicles off the beaten path knows that a larger diameter tyre is the means to adding ground clearance whilst keeping the suspension within acceptable limits.

Watch any Aussie or US/Canadian YouTube channel and the first thing they do is air down the tyres to aid both traction and comfort.

Ford have released the Bronco with a factory 35” and so now has Jeep……why, because some of the public, their consumers, want it.

Which only begs the one big question, the elephant in the room……..Land Rover…….where are you….? At the Chicago motor show, Land Rover even with the Defender is not seen as a competitor in this market.

Wouldn’t it be cool if those arches were adjustable, just pull out when the 35’s are on and push in for the standard wheels! 1955 Series 1 107" Pick up.
