Door hinge replacment bolt pattern
I purchased a kit with hinges and bolts. Some bolts are phillips some are star pattern. The longer ones will fit through the doors but are the star pattern. My originals were phillips head on door and hex on pillars. When replacing should I use all star pattern for both door and pillar?
thanks

I believe that the early vehicles had UNFs and were all Phillips (they are probably pozi).
When there was the change to metric, they were the star (torx).

If you have a combination, probably a previous owner replaced some screws, not others.

So ensure you have the correct captive plates that fit on the bulkhead, either UNF or metric depending on the screws you have (most likely your new kit is metric). 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

Yes I did get metric bolt Torx pattern to use. Most all of my old bolts were corroded. Thanks.
This was not the easiest thing Ive ever done.
