Underbody protection - SthW of Glasgow ??
Hi folks,

I know I remember seeing somewhere (probably here, but I can't be sure) that someone did a 'write-up' and pics of a company that did a good job of underbody protection - prepping and sealing - somewhere to the SW of Glasgow (Paisley, Linwood, Kilmacolm sort of direction).

I've found 'preserveprotect.co.uk' in Johnstone, via google, but just hoping someone could point me to the right thread, if it was on here, or give any opinion on the standard of their work.

This is 'Land Rover' related, though not Defender. I have a RR P38 and I'm doing some work on it to try and extend its useful life.

Lying underneath it today, the chassis is solid enough, but very crusty. I'm just trying to understand what the options are for rust-treatment and protection, without going to the extent of removing the chassis and getting it galved.

Hi Nick,

Perfect, thanks very much indeed. I think that's exactly the post I was thinking of, and 2019 is the right sort of timescale, allowing for the "lost" Covid years. I remember seeing the detailed set of pics.

(Edit - questions deleted - now realise this is not Nick's car, but someone else's. Still the right thread though.)

Hi Donald, I saw your question in the email notification, I did have my defender treated by Gordon in August 2020. I was happy with the overall service, and still happy with the state of the chassis now. Hope that helps.
