England 1998 Defender 90 300 Tdi CSW Epsom Green
HSE or XS
If it were a difference of less than £1000 what would you go for

110 XS D250

Or

110 HSE D250

Both are like for like when it comes to equipment levels.

I know maybe wrong as your just looking at buying..... but I would consider when I come to sell

to me the HSE just seems a higher spec than XS? (Even if it isn't) so would perhaps stand out a bit more?
Come sale time.

Would you get the 'less than £1000' back.... who knows but the HSE would be my choice.

It’s a personal thing but I don’t like the body coloured lower trims etc on the XS and the very restricted colour choice put me off changing my First Edition D240 for an XS. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

Ignore Stacey - buy the car you want for you not the car for the next owner Rolling Eyes

I'm with Tim - I think the body coloured trim upsets the natural proportions of the car - the window line looks like its too high on the XS - though of course you don't see that when sat in the car

I think what might be deciding factor is how quickly you can get one - I don't know what the supply delay differences are between HSE and XS Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)
