I had never heard of a nut riveter but it worked a treat just drill a new hole, insert these and it creates a threaded recess to attach a new bolt.

I still have the rear ones to do, I Have new stainless plinths so will attack them one day.

I would try to use the same metal type of rivnut as the material your fixing to, or at least use some anti galling paste to reduce galvanic corrosion...that rivnut tool might struggle with stainless rivnuts size 8 and above.
