My car silently installed 2.1.6 today.
Can't find any wireless carplay though...

My understanding is that wireless CarPlay and Android Auto (whatever that is

) is included in v3.0.0 of the Pivi Pro Software, which doesn't appear to have rolled out on Defenders yet.

The latest SOTA update takes the version number to 2.1.6

The lucky few with wireless CarPlay will have had the update carried out at the dealer which then doesn't show the version number it just states the software is up to date, the same as it left the factory.

We can all dig around the various menus in our V2.1.* software versions for as long as we like but wireless CarPlay won't be an option until V3 is released "over the air" or is installed by our kind and friendly dealer during a routine visit

I'm sure the V3 SOTA will be along soon though

I had connectivity issues, car wouldn’t connect to the embedded sim. The dealer had to raise a case with LR before they could install the software. So I’m running V3 but only now am I getting the V2 updates

It does look and feel slicker 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

So far I’ve found wireless CarPlay to be flawless, automatically connects once set up, even if I’ve had the phone plugged in. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

I turned it off within 1 trip of the disco, couldnt stand it. Takes over everything and defaults you to Andriod.

But some people may like that, but i find Andriod Car Play awful, apple is ok - but i would rather the native systems than the phone for Maps etc Even spotify it trys to use my phone rather than the built in version Mike

Yesterday I got my Defender back with a replaced windscreen. I asked the dealer to install the update of the Pivi system, he asked me if I do have any issues with the infotainment system? He told I have to wait for the OTA update as installing the system now often makes problems of functions not working correctly. So I have to wait until V3 OTA.
