Wheezing/whining sound after firing up
Just noticed this yesterday on my 2014 110. Has happened the 5 times I’ve started the car since.

Upon turning the key, the engine cranks over and bursts into life instantly - no problem……

Immediately after it fires I release the key, as you do, and there is a 1 second wheeze/whine…. Strange

My only guess is it sounds like the starter motor over running. But that is a poorly educated guess

What could this be? All working fine so I’m just trying to diagnose before something more sinister happens.

My 2.4 also does that sometimes. I think it is the starter motor not withdrawing quick enough. 1953 80"
